Robert Mandel retains a strong commitment to the NHS. He continues to work as a Senior Physiotherapist at Fairfield General Hospital where he is involved in education and research in addition to his clinical work. His particular interests are in the treatment and prevention of lower back pain, whiplash injuries and psycho-social approaches to many longstanding conditions.
Robert also works in an occupational health setting, providing a physiotherapy service to ‘Herbert Parkinson’ – a soft furnishings manufacturer which is within the John Lewis Partnership. He is involved in providing treatment, ergonomic assessment and in the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries.
Robert is fully aware of the strong scientific evidence supporting involvement in healthy active lifestyles for all. He is a powerful advocate for regular, enjoyable physical activity and exercise – given the massive health gains which follow from this.
Robert Mandel is a member of:
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
The Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (PHYSIO FIRST)
The Physiotherapy Pain Association
and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE).
